Officina Meccanica Zielo cav. Lino Srl establishes its roots on the chef, chevalier Zielo Lino, thanks to his gained experience in the precision mechanical sector. When he was young, he emigrated to Switzerland, where he found the ideal place to develop his skills: a high-precision mechanical workshop called : “Maschine Bau”. He starts as “Hilfarbeit” (helper) and in few years, studying and working, he becomes, at first, chief-assistant and later technical director. At that time, machinery had no electronic controls but only mechanical ones and so very special equipments and machineries have to be built.

When he returns back to Italy, in 1970, he establishes the “Officina Meccanica Zielo “; with humility, but always in progress, he uses his acquired experiences and finds the right way to develop his company. He specializes in screws rolling, without disregarding mechanical workings. In this way, his company becomes one of the leading one in its field. Thanks to continuous technical and technological investments, acquisition of advanced machinery and training of specialized operators, Zielo Lino company is able to offer its high quality products both on internal and foreign market.

The specialization of Officina Meccanica Zielo cav. Lino is the production of “rolled screws” with plenty of profiles, metric, trapezoidal, modular and others, single and multi start, in all the materials that can be cold formed and diameters from 3 to 300 mm, together with their nuts.

Rolling is a cold extrusion process that, through plastic deformation of the material, enables to obtain very precise threads with a smooth surface. These characteristics allow a huge saving (because you need less spare parts) and an easy interchangeability.

For such workings, the company avails itself of specialized operators and special equipments, that have been built on purpose in high precision laboratories. Every month more than 130 tons of materials (special steels, alloyed steels, bronze and plastics) are processed.
